The Historical Society

of Mount Lebanon


The Historical Society of Mount Lebanon is a non-profit educational organization whose purpose is to interpret and preserve the history of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. To accomplish its purpose, the Society fosters a knowledge and appreciation of local history among its members and the general public by conducting research, hosting exhibits, creating publications and presenting interpretive projects. Activities include: five programs annually at Mt. Lebanon Public Library, architectural walking tours for local second-graders, an annual history prize presented to a Mt. Lebanon High School junior and an oral history project.

The society’s success depends on the support and involvement of the community. If you would like more information about the society, call 412-531-0455 or 412-278-2272.

Memberships are: $20, individual; $35, family; $100, benefactor; $15 youth (to age 15) and seniors (over age 65); $250, corporate and $1,000, life.
